Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung and Herbert Smith Freehills advise on US$157 million investment in Mayapada Healthcare

Leading international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills and associate firm Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung (HBT) have advised PT Anugerahraya Sejahteraraya Tbk (SRAJ) on the successful facilitation of a US$157 million investment by Bain Capital into its healthcare unit, Mayapada Healthcare Group.  This was accomplished through an investment structure involving a combination of share and bond subscriptions. 

This landmark transaction represents a significant milestone in Indonesia's healthcare sector and showcases the firm's expertise in complex cross-border investments.

The cross-border element added a layer of complexity in ensuring the simultaneous closing for all elements of investments between all parties from the United States, Singapore and Indonesia.
